Until today I have been a hard working employee for Gerber Collision and Glass. I have never received any type of write up or complaint from management, and have done my absolute best for this company day in and day out. On Tuesday I was blessed with my beautiful daughter, yet still came to work and did my job. This morning my fiancee and daughter were released from the hospital and I called in to let them know I would be a few hours late to bring them home, but would be in immediately after. True to my word, I came in as soon as I dropped them off at home, only to be told I was being let go with no official reason and no notice, although they have been aware for over 6 months that I would need a day off when she was born. Although it was completely unexpected and wrong for a company to unjustly fire me without a true cause I am glad not to work under such poor management any longer. I am shocked with this company. While I was an employee for Gerber collision I work 3 different positions, Parts Manager, detailer and shop Porter but my job description was only under parts manager and the pay was insulting to the amount of work that was under my belt. The regional manager, Jason Brookhouse, reminded me several times that I was replaceable if I didn't do as I was told wether it was my job and responsiblilty or not.
When I took my car in for repair they said I could bring it in for a paint match and then I'd only be out a car for 1 day. Instead, they kept it a week and when we picked it up today (new Lexus bumper) there is something under the paint causing it to be rough in one spot and both edges of the bumper are rough and were never sanded smooth before painting. We're very unhappy. Go elsewhere. And to top it off the car had a FULL gas tank when we dropped it off and under a quarter tank when we picked it up!!
I Went in for an insurance estimate. Very quick and polite service. They work with the insurance company so I don't have to be the middle man.
Staff was very professional fast and knowledgeable. The work they did on my new truck top notch.
